Tigers Jaw Tour Print/Poster

Tigers Jaw Tour Print/Poster

I had finished up the 7″ jackets I did a week or so ago and was dropping the ball on these posters for a bit. Lots going on and trying to finish off a couple of old projects, but here we are. 50 or so prints done, cut and ready to ship. 80# desert storm cover stock, 3 colors. Daniel Fishel did the art for this bad boy and I’m happy with how it turned out. The purple doesn’t quite pop in this picture, so I suggest you go see Tigers Jaw so you can see for yourself. Otherwise, hit up Tiny Engines and they may or may not sell you a copy, not sure what their plan is at this point. Some day I’ll start to hang onto copies and trade them to you for root beer floats. tigersprint-0811

Look Mexico – You Stay. I Go. No Following.

Look Mexico – You Stay. I Go. No Following.

I’ve been involved with Look Mexico a little as far as screen printing goes from the very start. I approached Chuck at Tiny Engines about doing some work in trade for a test press and everything worked out great. This relationship with Josh from Look Mexico and with my work with Suburban Home turned into another exciting project. Going into this I was a little nervous. What started out as three colors turned into four and that’s where I got nervous. I’m still pretty new to the whole screen printing thing and I was just getting confident in my abilities to bang out two color prints without too much hassle, so I wasn’t sure how much hair I was going to pull out on this one. After all was said and done, I think I did pretty damn good. This was an edition of 300(20 extra for test presses). Four colors and hand folded. Art was by Josh(sharkguts). My girlfriend helped me for about half this project and I can’t thank her enough. These turned out amazing and will soon be out of print. lookmexico-0795 lookmexico-0796 lookmexico-0797

Gruff Beard Records

Gruff Beard Records

I got an email from Kyle at Farewell Party Records that a buddy of his was looking to get some jackets made for his latest release. A split 12″ featuring Sister Kisser and Ink & Lead. I was game and after a couple of days I had some artwork in my hands. A day later I was ready to ship these babies out to the east coast. I did 20 of them and this will be a Vinyl Collective exclusive jacket. Not sure when these will go up, but should be any day now I would assume. gruffbeard-0798 gruffbeard-0799 gruffbeard-0800

Flavor Saver – Bryan Mull

Flavor Saver – Bryan Mull

A few friends of mine and I started this little thing several months ago. Our friend Kyle’s dog was enjoying the last days of his life thanks to cancer and we all decided to grow our beards until he was in doggy heaven. Well, that time came and went too quickly. Everyone shaved except Bryan. I can’t remember how long he went exactly, but it was getting out of control and he always had stuff in his beard or mustache. I think he figured out it was cut it time or be a lifer. He decided to have one last day of fun with all this hard work. He cut most of it off and left this little gem for everyone to enjoy. Shortly(45 minutes) after these pics it was all gone. mustache-0198mustache-0209

Half Hearted Hero – Farewell Party Records

Half Hearted Hero – Farewell Party Records

I post frequently on the Vinyl Collective message boards and this site is in my signature and I’m sure every once in awhile someone clicks it and an even smaller percentage takes a look around. Well, Kyle from Farewell Party Records got in touch and was asking if I could do a really small run of jackets for some test presses he had coming in for the upcoming Half Hearted Hero record. We got everything nailed down and I got these out to him right quick. We did 14 jackets, full cover, 1/4 back, 110lb cougar natural stock, single color. Super simple and quick job. By the way, cover is based off this cover. HHH-0451 HHH-0450

FANG newsPRINTS

FANG newsPRINTS

A buddy of mine, Pete, who I’ve worked with over the years going to skatepark meetings and running into him at the park found out I did a bit of screen printing on the side and gave me a call the other day. What transpired is the print below. It sure was an interesting and fun project and I’m so stoked on how it turned out. Pete mentioned trying to print on pieces of the wall street journal. I was dead set against the idea right away thinking it would never work. But he persisted and it all worked out. Two color print, hand/eye registered and punk as shit. I think we did 75 of these. The band Fang is a pretty old school punk rock band forming in the early 80′s with a bit of history. FANG-0456

SHARKGUTS!!!

SHARKGUTS!!!

Me and Josh have been talking for months now. I first met him when we worked together on the Look Mexico jackets I did months ago. Nice dude and I love his style, very unique. Anyways, he approached me about doing some posters for him way back then and I never heard much about it until a couple of weeks ago. He wanted some posters for The Fest and was hoping I could fire them out and get them shipped in time. So I made it happen. Did a two color run of 50 on 11×17 stock. I can’t remember the exact stock, but I think it was 130lb, little heavier stuff. Anyways, not sure if he sold out of them or not, but if you’re into it, go to his myspace and ask him what’s up. If you need something drawn up, get in touch with him, he’s a good dude! sharkguts-0447

Portugal. The Man – 12″x12″ Prints

Portugal. The Man – 12″x12″ Prints

When I got asked to do these Portugal. The Man prints I was beyond stoked. I’m not even really a fan to be honest, but they’re pretty big I suppose and just the fact that they were anorthwest band had me pretty stoked. So yeah, Virgil over at Suburban Home asked me if I was down and of course I was. John Gourley did the artwork and I did two different colorways (three including the tests) with the same art. It was one of the more trying prints I’ve done, but they turned out great and everyone seems stoked on them. The Brown/Olive was out of 118 and Ruby/Purple was out of 125. I did 20 test press prints as well, which were Orange and Green. These sold out in the first day or two I think. Record has an etched B Side which I show below as well. Cool project for sure! Two New Posters – Busy Time!

Two New Posters – Busy Time!

Here are two posters I’ve done in the past couple of weeks. Love them both to death and I think they came out really well. If you need some design work, get in touch and and I’ll hook you up with Lucas who has been banging out these posters left and right. Sorry for the lack of words, just wanna get these up before I’m behind on updating. I’ve got a few projects in the works and I’m really excited to be working with all the people I’ve met so far. Also, picked up a chandler and price paper cutter, which is a welcomed addition to the shop. Not quite the size I wanted, but the price was right! girraffeposter-0118 nothington-0152

SAMIAM Poster

SAMIAM Poster

This is my second poster and I can’t be more pleased. L. Andrews did the artwork for this and I printed up 36 copies. Sold out of them at the show a couple nights later and yeah, this thing is a beaut. We got plans to print some more to sell online, so hopefully that works out. Anyways, edition of 36, two colors on 100lb cougar stock. The first 15-20 were more yellow than the rest of them as I didn’t mix enough ink. Here are a couple of pics!
