The Ghost – Reunion Show Poster

The Ghost – Reunion Show Poster

So this is my first “gig poster” I’ve done. I’ve stuck mainly with doing jackets for records, but I had the chance to meet Lucas from Anchor Down while doing the 4 way split posters that I still haven’t uploaded. Anyways, he does amazing posters and through a few conversations, we’ve started working on a couple posters and this is the first of that collaboration. The picture is okay, but it’s really hard to get one that shows the gold and silver “popping” off the print. Either way, I’m pretty stoked on this poster overall and happy with how everything is working out with Lucas, expect tons of amazing posters in the coming months! If you’re into it, check out the band The Ghost or the label who is releasing one of the albums on vinyl, Solidarity Records!

Ninja Gun – Suburban Home Records

Ninja Gun – Suburban Home Records

When this LP was originally sent to Suburban Home Records, a few of the jackets were damaged, leaving 239 records with nothing to house them. I’m assuming Virgil sat on these while he sold the other ones wondering what he might do with them. Ninja Gun was planning a tour with Fake Problems, but due to a death in the family, Fake Problems had to cancel and I’m assuming Ninja Gun bailed as well. Before any of this happened, I was asked if I could do 239 jackets to make up for the damaged jackets. Said I would and they just received them. What started out as a fun way to learn a thing or two about screen printing has turned into a great working relationship and we’ve already got other things in the works including a big Portugal. The Man job which I’m more than stoked on! Anyways, enough of my usual ramblings, here is a pic they just threw up on their site! Ninja Guns - Restless Rubes

Shooting my sisters Audi A4

Shooting my sisters Audi A4

My sister got this Audi a few months ago and always thought it was a nice car. Then she spent who knows how much money on these wheels. There was a big VW/Audi show over the weekend and she wanted some pictures to set out with it. Anyways, drove up, hung out for a little bit and as the sun started to set, we went out and shot a few. This was my first time shooting a car, which was fun, but wish I had some time to scout some legit locations, even though the stuff we found worked out great!

In the Red/Anchor Down/Bastards of Young/Drunken Boat Tour 7″

In the Red/Anchor Down/Bastards of Young/Drunken Boat Tour 7″

So I got an email from Virgil over at Suburban Home about doing a few jackets for a tour 7″ split between four bands. I was pretty interested considering one of the bands, Anchor Down, is a really good local band(to the NW). We agreed that I would print up 1,000 jackets on four different colored papers. One color for each band. This is by far the biggest run I’ve ever done and was overwhelmed at first. But took a step back, looked at everything and then dug in. Lots of hours, lots of ink and even more swear words later, I was done printing. Right this second I’m getting them scored in Seattle and will be delivering the first 200 to the guys in Anchor Down for the upcoming tour. The rest will be mailed out to Denver along with some what should be amazing test press jackets. I’ll post pics in the next few days, but wanted to post this streaming jukebox for you to check out the bands on this release. If you’re into it, maybe do me a favor and grab a copy.

Look Mexico – Screen Printed Jackets

Look Mexico – Screen Printed Jackets

I approached Tiny Engines a few months ago about obtaining a record for my collection. The response was something along the lines of, we’re not sure what we’re gonna do with them, keep an eye on the site. I wasn’t going to take no for an answer and made them an offer they couldn’t refuse and what you see pictured below is a product of a few people working together to make something for everyone. Anyways, original plan was 15-20 jackets and I somehow ended up with 54 of them, plus another 15 to Sharkguts, the designer of the jacket & member of Look Mexico. I think they turned out great and as always, really hoping to work with Tiny Engines and/or Look Mexico in the future. If you’re interested, you can buy one here or read the press release here. Just a quick word….

Just a quick word….

This is the new home for all these projects I find myself involved with. Whether it’s some recent photography work, screen printing projects, personal art stuff or whatever else I find mildly entertaining. It will also be a direct link to my portfolio which is heavily in progress at this point. I’ve decided to scrap 80% of my early stuff since it’s been awhile since I’ve shot it. Makes for a thin portfolio for the time being, but I think it will make it stronger in the end and motivate me to get out there more often. If you’re interested in getting in touch with me, check out the contact page and let’s make something. Thank you so much for taking the time to look at the stuff I’ve been involved with. This post will sit on top for the time being.

Austin Lucas Test Press Jackets

Austin Lucas Test Press Jackets

I did 20 of these jackets for the Austin Lucas LP recently released on Suburban Home / Vinyl Collective. There are only 20 of these test presses in existence and I think the jackets turned out nice. I only did the screen printing half of it, wish I could take credit for the artwork, you can give it to Brandon though. Hopefully I can work with these good people more in the future. If you’re into collecting records or just listening to them, please check out vinyl collective.
